Two Egg
Florida
November 2013
Don’t miss Two Egg while you are in the Panhandle of Florida. Two Egg has a startlingly rich history for a community that, in spite of its name, none of us have ever heard of. Two Egg has turned up important archeological relicts, was at one time a vital trade and travel route and played a role in conflicts involving Natives and Mexicans. It’s even got its own monster which to me, of course, is far more fun than trade routes and battles.
The main Two Egg crossroads is the little junction of SR 69 and SR 69A. Seven miles northeast of this junction, toward the Chattahoochee River by the state line, is where multiple witnesses claim to have seen a miniature version of Bigfoot roaming the swamps. Sometimes they call it the “Two Egg Monster.” The most popular name is the “Two Egg Stump Jumper.”
They could have done better. How about “MediumFoot,” or “Male Bigfoot With Two Eggs.”
