This is one big son of a bitch. Standing 18 feet tall, Zuverman is the fantasy embodiment of Bob Zuver, a Southern California Muscle Beach bodybuilder.
There was a six-foot Zuverman statue but it just didn’t cut it. Mr Zuver saw himself as a much larger presence. He started preparations for a 50-foot model but his plan got waylaid and the 50-footer never came to life. We’re going with the 18-footer which is still one big son of a bitch.

Zuver. This guy was dense-packed. As close to having his muscles on the outside of his body as I’ve ever seen. Didn’t hurt that he was wearing a skinny pair of shorts, a sleeveless T-shirt and anklets.
Zuvermans face was modeled after Bob Zuver himself.
Zuverman was first seen standing on Muscle Beach in Southern California. Then in 2013, Zuverman’s home was in Portland, Oregon at Giants Gym, where he worked hard and, as the story goes, turned to solid gold.
We know better.
After a time, Rick Tsai, a chiropractor and Bob Zuver fan, arranged for the statue to leave the Left Coast, bound for the little community of Darlington, northwest of Pittsburgh. It was unveiled on August 15, 2013. And this is where it now stands.
